When most of us think of supermodel sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid, we think of their long, luscious locks and fantastic bone structure. But, when the duo hit the runway to debut Marc Jacobs’ fall 2022 collection they surprised us all with what might be their most striking look to date. 

Almost unrecognizable at first glance, Bella and Gigi sported partially shaved heads and bleached eyebrows to compliment Jacobs’ edgy, out-there style. The two were turning heads all evening as they graced the New York Public Library with both their bold wardrobe and the dramatic new ‘do. 

For Hadid fans everywhere who were skeptical of the girls’ new hair, there is no need to worry: it’s not really shaved. For a less permanent but still fierce moment, renowned hairstylist, Duffy, worked alongside experts in prosthetics to combine bald caps with long, black wigs and striking blunt-cut bangs in order to achieve the punk-rock glamor Jacobs was looking for. As for those bleach-blond brows? Those were 100-percent Hadid hair transformed by makeup artist Diane Kendal. 

Needless to say, with a look that dramatic, the model siblings received a significant amount of critiques and insults about their semi-bare heads and barely-there brows. No stranger to being slammed by strangers, the sisters stood tall and even posted BTS shots from the show to Instagram to proclaim their appreciation for the eccentric look. 

Gigi and Bella are always serving looks and turning heads, but this runway moment took their “trendsetter” status to a whole new level and showed the masses that it is cool to branch out, be bold and maybe even bleach your brows.
