here are a few places, like the red carpet, that offers a chance for unbridled sartorial expression. By now, it should come as no surprise when you spot your favorite Black celebs laying full hold of worthwhile glitz and glam opportunities. Last week, among other events, the Nope Movie premiere and ESPYS Awards, both held in LA, successfully pulled Hollywood stars together as they flaunted modish frocks and matching confidence.
The looks
Actress Keke Palmer hit the 20 years in Hollywood mark, and congratulations are in order. From Glamour Magazine to Vogue, the cover girl had her plates full. In addition to alluring shots of her cover girl spree, Keke showed how it’s done in a sassy Marc Jacobs look, which she wore to the Nope movie premiere. The summer heat had nothing on her as she glided effortlessly in full-on leather gloves and a mid-riff baring set. The star had her braids out and shone subtly in Bulgari jewelry. “Baby, this is Keke Palmer!”
Serving should be another synonym for Ciara Wilson, because the star girl brings it on week after week, and there’s no stopping her. From the streets of Italy, Ciara and partner Russell Wilson proceeded to hit the LA streets in black-themed ensembles — clearly, no retreat. The couple was spotted at the ESPYs award where Ciara served as usual; this time in a velvet Sabina Bilenko dress with crystal décolleté. The star girl is continually leveling up.
We are fully aware that Afrobeats superstar **Tems **needs no other body, but last week, the star in a custom Robert Wun halter top and pleated train pants nailed this fact on the head as she performed in London. That’s the true essence of Black beauty.
